Volcano tourism is a truly unique experience, and many of our guests take guided hikingtours. Families often take advantage of this unique educational opportunity with their children- it's not often that you can approach a volcano! Montserrat's unique geography makes it possible to appreciate how volcanoes work from a safe distance. TheMontserrat Volcano Observatory (MVO)is a great place to visit. It has become so popular that they are in the process of building a new visitor centre complete with photography and insights into how this wonder of nature works. The MVO can also organize scientific tours for groups of geology-minded folk.

The Montserrat National Trust also operates many historical sites, as well as the Montserrat Botanical Gardens. Whether you choose to explore Montserrat's nature on your own or with their help, there is plenty to see!

There is no shortage of good music on Montserrat. Just a five minute walk away, you can enjoy steel drum band concerts, local theatre, and trumpet music by Nancy Hildegaard - when not on island, Nancy plays trumpet at Whoopi Goldberg's restaurant in the US. Something tells us she must be good...
A short drive away, Montserrat boasts soca and highlife tunes played next to the beach - this beach bar/club is Montserrat's answer to wild night life. Wherever you are on island, music isn't too far behind. Visit our Steinway page for some interesting musical facts about the island.

Looking for good food? This tiny island has a wonderful selection of warm and hospitable restaurants. From pizza, to freshly-caught fish of the day, to take-out, there will be something to suit your taste. Montserrat is small enough that on certain days there is a 'place to be'- whether that is a fantastic beach barbeque ritual on weekends, drinks under palm trees on a Tuesday afternoon, or Wednesday night buffets with music. Get in touch with us, and we'll make sure you are 'in the know'.

Seascape villa has its own private pool, and is just a few minutes walk from Old Road Bay - a beautiful long and quiet beach with a 'hopping' social scene at one end. Montserrat has many pristine beaches - those that you can't walk to are only a few minutes drive away. They are all known for something special. Little Bay has an island-famous barbeque and great wading.
Rendezvous Bay can only be accessed by hiking or by boat. It is the only white-sand beach on Montserrat, and sitting at the tip of the island, has some of the best snorkeling and scuba diving anywhere. Best of all, it is usually totally deserted. Talk to the folks at Sea Wolf diving school, and they'll help you find the best spot for night-swimming: phosphorescence lights up the waters at night and you can swim in pixie dusk.

Our favourite activity on Montserrat is sitting in front of a beautiful view, with a cold drink, and doing .... absolutely .... nothing. Seascape Villa's deck is perfect for whale-spotting, star-gazing, ship-watching, and best of all, soaking insunsets.
Putt your favourite music on, and, seeing as the villa is private, do whatever you like, whether that is an Aretha Franklin impersonation, air guitar practice, or dancing under a starlit sky ... we'll leave it up to you.
Write to us with your questions or comments, we'd love to hear from you!
