Montserrat ... the way the Caribbean used to be.

Montserrat is a small leeward Caribbean island that sits betwen Antigua and Guadeloupe. It is a British crown colony with a strong Irish heritage that you can still enjoy during the Island's biggest holiday of the year - Saint Patrick's Day.
The Island is 7 miles wide by 11 miles long, with a current permanent population of about 5,000 people. Montserrat is known far and wide for its incredibly friendly people, pristine environment, clean drinking water, stunning beaches, the Montserrat volcano and best of all ... for being one of the few places in the Caribbean that is untouched by large-scale tourism. The population benefits from high levels of literacy and one of the highest standards of living in the Caribbean. The island benefits from an active community in sport, music, education, and culture.
The Island is recovering beautifully from volcanic activity, and it now boasts several sites of interest. Many visitors take tours to the Montserrat volcano by foot, by boat, or by helicopter.
